Magpie is the trader found in the Glen. However, the only item that can be traded to him is the wool. Other items will result in dialogue but not an exchange.

Trivia

When attempting to trade the journal, it is learnt that Magpie can't read.
Magpie is known to love glass so much that he has set up the trading post to make room for other things.
When attempting to trade every possible item to Magpie, the achievement Extreme Bartering is acquired.
In a Tumblr post, Night states that Magpie's drink of choice is hard liquor, but only so he could collect the bottles afterwards.
According to this post he’s in his early twenties.
