The Guardians are Robots in charge of not letting Niko pass until certain requirements are met, with the exception of the Blue Guardian. These requirements vary between each robot.
Blue Guardian
The Blue Guardian is located in the Barrens. Unlike the other Guardians, they are damaged and serve no other purpose than to be interacted with, but must remain to guard the dormitories even after its residents have left. A power cell for this guardian can be found in the building closest to it.
Green Guardian
The Green Guardian is stationed in the Glen, and is in charge of the entrance to the Refuge. They require Niko to write their name on a scroll to enter, but have lost their pen. Because of this, the guardian will not allow Niko to pass until they have something to write with.
Red Guardian
The Red Guardian is the Guardian in the Refuge, and will not let Niko go to Garden unless they have the Sacred Kernel. They also instruct Niko to find the Library on the surface.
